Two Weeks!

I've finally done it: I started a blog! Whether or not I actually write posts for this blog is another matter entirely, but I have taken the first step and I am proud of myself for that.

The primary purpose of this blog is to record my adventures during my 10 month stay in Mbale, Uganda so that my friends and family back home will be able to keep up with what's going on. I have these fantasies that all of my friends and even strangers will be anxiously waiting each week to read my beautiful words. But, in all honestly, even if my mom is the only person who ever reads this, that's enough for me.

The countdown has begun: I am only 2 WEEKS from my departure. I can't even begin to express how excited I am about this journey God has set before me. Our Father is so gracious that He allows us to work alongside Him, within our home nation and abroad. I am beyond thankful for this opportunity. He is so good!

I am completely floored by the amazing support I've received from people over the last two months. Through prayer, kind words, and financial support, you have made me feel more loved than ever. Everyone has been so kind and generous, though I am pretty sure some think I'm absolutely out of mind for doing this. And the truth is, I kind of am. I am totally and completely, 100%, head over heels in love with Jesus. I would go anywhere and do anything He asked me to. And so, for now, that means living in Uganda. Wow. I am so blessed.
